I am originally from Port Elizabeth and have been living in Cape Town for the past 4 – 5 years.
I’ve had a passion for food for as long as i can remember. As a lighty I would make sure I was in the kitchen while dinner
was being prepared, mostly to snack but i did manage to learn a few tricks.
At that stage in my life I was convinced that I would one day own an italian restaurant, had the name picked out and everything!(Scarboni’s). No idea where the name came from or if it’s even italian.
Chefs who I look up to and who inspire me would have to be Gordan Ramsey, cliche maybe but the man has 12 Michelin stars under his belt,
needless to say he knows his stuff. Another cheff who I consider a legend is none other than the late, great Keith Floyd. Lets be honest, a chef who can drink that much
wine and still produce amazing dishes, will never be forgotten.
I enjoy all styles of food, however I am completely obsessed with asian cuisine.
I love the way it’s prepared and presented and of course the tradition involved.
Food i enjoy cooking the most would have to be italian, there are so many routes one can take with flavour and ingredients. Food I enjoy
eating the most is obviously asian, to be more specific, Japanese.
